Chioggia is a seaside town located in the southern part of the Venetian lagoon.Called by many "little Venice," it is a quaint place with Venetian-style palaces and canals filled with the typical Chioggia boats, the Bragozzi.The most visited places are the fish market, the Corso del Popolo and Piazza Vigo, which with a marvelous old bridge perfectly preserved takes the visitor back in time.

During the summer, the town is populated with many tourists, some of whom decide to attend the Palio del La Marciliana, a very detailed and folkloric historical re-enactment of the War of Chioggia.In recent years Chioggia has seen a very rosy period due to the enhancement of its artistic and cultural heritage, which has earned it the title of "Chioggia: city of art."
